    Itinerary

    Day 1Edfu & Kom Ombo

In the morning your guide will pick you up from your chosen place in Luxor or Aswan according to where you prefer start your trip. Take the road between Aswan and Luxor to reach these to magnificent temples.

Located in the West bank of the Nile, Edfu temple is one of the best preserved Ancient religious sites of Egypt. The ptolemaic temple was dedicated to the worshiping of the falcon god Horus.
Inside, you can contemplate inscriptions and scenes that give reliable information on the language, traditions and the cult during the Hellenistic period in Egypt. These walls also hold the legend of the sacred conflict between Seth and Horus who was trying to avenge the murder of his father Osiris.

Kom Ombo temple was dedicated to two gods and that is the reason it was know as « the double temple ». The southern part of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek : god of fertility and creator of the world, the northern part was devoted to the falcon god Horus. Proceed inside and observe scenes of cultic liturgies specially tied to this temple. During the Ancient time, Egyptians used to keep crocodiles near to the temple. Nowadays the only crocodile that you can see are the mummified ones displayed in The Crocodile Museum.

Here ends your trip, you will be escorted back to Aswan.
