Itinerary

Day tourMemphis, Saqqara, Dahshour

In the morning and after your breakfast, You will be met Aladin Tours Guide to  start your day tour to visit the first sightseeing of Memphis.

Memphis is an ancient Egyptian city among the world heritage sites, founded in 3200 BC by King Narmer and it was the capital of Egypt in the era of the Old Kingdom (Dynasties 3-6) and there was the worship of the god Ptah, and its current location is the city of Badrasheen, in Giza, 19 km south of Cairo is now Dead hostage village

Memphis was known as the “white wall” until the twenty-sixth century BC until the Egyptians called it “from Nefer,” which was the name that the Greeks turned to “Memphis”, then the Arabs called it “Memphis”.

Continue your trip to Saqqara,

Saqqara, is an archaeological area 35 km southwest of Giza, Egypt, and there are several hierarchical groups of kings of the third, fifth and sixth dynasties, as well as terraces of senior statesmen decorated with wonderful paintings depicting daily life in the era of the Old Kingdom. And in the north of Saqqara, there are some tombs or shrines of the kings of the Early Dynastic period.

Saqqara has the oldest listed pyramid in the world, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, built during the reign of the Third Dynasty. It also contains 16 royal pyramids, in different states of preservation.

End your trip by visiting Dashour.

Dahshur represents the southern region of the Memphis Cemetery, and contains a number of hierarchical groups and monuments. It was a cemetery since the Fourth Dynasty, where King Senefru built two of his three pyramids, namely the Curved Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, and the latter was the first complete pyramid in Egypt.

In the Middle Kingdom, some of the kings of the Twelfth Dynasty, namely Amenemhat the Second, Senusret III, and Amenemhat the Third built their pyramids there. The jewelry of some princesses from the Middle Kingdom was found here. Dahshur is located 11 km to the south of Saqqara, and it is the cemetery that witnessed the birth of the first complete pyramid in Egypt, which is the northern pyramid of King Senefru, founder of the Fourth Dynasty.

And the Dahshur area is one of the most important archaeological areas in Egypt, and it includes the most important archaeological treasures, as more than one archaeological discovery of gold was found inside its pyramids and tombs, and the most important of these pyramids is the pyramid of Senefru, known as the yellow pyramid, the curved pyramid of King Senefru, the black pyramid of King Amenemhat III, and the pyramid King Senusret III.

During the Tour you will have your lunch in a decent local restaurant.
